LocalDevTools

Privacy Policy

Effective date:

This policy explains what information is collected when you use LocalDevTools (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and plain.

1. Data you enter into the tools

All tools on the Site process your input locally in your web browser. Text, files, tokens, URLs and other content you enter are not sent to our servers, are not stored by us and are not shared with anyone. When you close or reload the page, the input is gone. You can confirm this with your browser's developer tools (Network tab).

2. Information collected automatically

Like virtually every website, the servers and content delivery network that deliver the Site (currently Cloudflare) process technical information needed to send pages to your browser and protect the Site from abuse. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, referring URL and the date and time of the request. This information is used for security and operating the service, and is handled by Cloudflare under its own privacy policy.

We do not currently use analytics services that require cookies or create user profiles.

3. Local storage

The Site stores your light/dark theme preference in your browser's local storage so that it is remembered on your next visit. This value never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

4. Cookies and advertising

To keep the tools free, the Site may display advertising, for example through Google AdSense. If and when ads are shown:

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a consent banner before any non-essential cookies are used for advertising. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the same banner or link on the Site. Advertising partners receive only the information described in their own policies; they never receive the content you enter into the tools.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

We process technical request data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site. Advertising cookies and personalized ads are used only on the basis of your consent.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California privacy laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Because we do not collect tool input or maintain user accounts, we generally hold no personal information about you beyond the technical data described above. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below.

7. Children

The Site is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when advertising is enabled or a feature changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised.
